The 1930s birth control movement in America was largely concentrated in the upper east coast in states like New York. While movements look place across the nation, much of the activism and legal changes were due to the efforts and organizations centrailized in the North East.

Moreover, while there were isolated efforts to include all women in the movement, many of the aims of the movement directly helped white middle to upper middle class women more drastically than minority groups.
